Take Home Care

Most often treatment alone is nice but you may need care to do in between treatments. For take home care I like to use a combination of magnetic therapy and Chinese herbal patches or herbal formulations. I also can make custom flower essence blends that work on the emotional level.

Q Magnets, or Quadrapolar magnets are multi-polar therapeutic magnets are applied for rapid pain relief based on their effect on the signals generated by cell membranes. They combine powerful rare-earth magnets with a patented design that generates very steep magnetic field gradients, to produce a strong therapeutic magnet. Some of the Q Magnet models can penetrate up to 50 mm (2″), making them ideal for placing over large joints like the hip, shoulder or lower back. Common bipolar magnets have a uniform magnetic field and negligible field gradient and hence do not share the same therapeutic effect as the quadrapolar, hexapolar or octapolar magnets. These magnets are fantastic for pain relief. When pain reduces naturally you are able to function and bring more blood flow to the area - and the power never runs out. I have a program where you can try the Q magnets on a problem area and if you like them you may purchase through me or the website www.qmagnets.com, where there is a plethora of information. To amplify the power of magnetic therapy in general I recommend taking the gem essence called positive/negative lodestone alongside, which magnifies it and makes your body more susceptible to the benefits. You can get at pegasusproducts.com

Wei Labs herbal patches for musculoskeletal pain is another great option for pain. These Chinese herbs penetrate the area 24/7 in the form of a patch which helps heal tissue, regenerate bone and calm pain and inflammation. Many clients swear by these and they are a great adjunct to acupuncture. They provide a passive form of take home care along with magnetic therapy above.

PRODUCTS I LIKE AND RECOMMEND (list updated often)

1) Floracopeia Essential Oils; for an exquisite, high quality essential oil choice you owe it to yourself to check out Floracopeia. Made by an acupuncturist with a true nose for the craft who goes to great lengths traveling the world and sourcing the highest of quality oils. You can tell a great company by the refined quality of its lavender. I recommend starting there with its Bulgarian Lavender but I have never ( and I mean never) been disappointed with any oil they sell. They are always a notch above. Floracopeia

2) Shiloh Farms; for their sprouted flours. Got gluten sensitivities? “Intolerance?” Try sprouted grains instead of regular flour because it digests more like a vegetable. ShilohFarms For good recipe and books that explain the benefits of switching to sprouted flours check out Janie Quinn’s Essential Eating the Digestible Diet & Essential Eating Sprouted Baking: with Whole Grain Flours that Digest as Vegetables.

3) PurO3; for their ozonated oils. Activated oxygen, also known as ozone, is created by taking pure oxygen and electrically charging it. This is done simply by flowing oxygen through an electrically charged tube. What happens is this: pure oxygen or O2 (two oxygen atoms) is changed to pure ozone or O3 (three oxygen atoms). The activated oxygen is then funneled into the desired raw oil where the electrically charged oxygen is slowly infused. My favorite of these is the Roll On Deodorant in Jojoba, which works dramatically well. PurO3

4) QISEEYA 6 Pieces Cupping Therapy Set; for simple cupping you can do at home. This also makes a great gift. Can be found on Amazon by searching by its title. ** You can also use the little ones as facial cups. Convenient to do if in a bath (can do easily).

5) Supercoherence Return To Love Frequency Discs; for calming and centering these are great. I actually use these in practice and often give them to clients while they lay with needles in. This group and product was founded in the UK by Thrity Engineer and their website tells the story as well as has the products. SRTL

6) Wei Labs Chinese Herbal patches; you’d probable fare better getting them from me but if not applicable the website is WeiLabs

7) Q Magnets; for pain relief without drugs (how many times do I get asked that?)..get one, better yet get 4. Two large (OF-50) and two smaller (QF28-6) to cover an area.

** Also with that I’d recommend the very effective “BSN Medical” tape, which are waterproof and holds those magnets on the skin come hell or high water, plus they’re easier to get off than something like kinesiotape. You can get off Amazon by searching same name.

8) Healthlite LLC; for red light therapy pads. They are pricey but high quality and you can use them every day. Healthlite

9) Gua Sha Tools; for simple gua sha you can do at home try a jar lid or Asian soup spoon. Ask me to show you how.

10) Pascalite Clay; fresh from Wyoming is Pascalite Clay. Many users report that they feel Pascalite is more powerful, yet more gentle, and superior, than the other clays. Clay is known to possess both adsorbent and absorbent powers. The natural tendency of clay is to absorb toxins and suck the poison from an environment. Clay is negatively charged and toxins are positively charged. Clay has the power to attract toxins (like a magnet) and stimulate the evacuation of toxic and non-useful elements. It soaks up impurities and toxins (like a sponge), allowing these to attach to the clay, and then clay acts as a catalyst to eliminate them. This can taken as a poultice, in a bath, or internally (recommended). Pascalite

11) Gerolsteiner Naturally Sparkling Mineral Water; for the sodaholics comes a healthy mineral water that actually has vulvic acid and other minerals in it. From Germany (where they drink copious amounts of mineral water) you can add a little bit of juice and the rest is carbonated goodness. This helped me kicked my soda habit quick! Can get at Dierbergs or even order online.

12) Infrared exercise; I like the place called Hotworx. I liked it so much I put an infrared sauna in my house and work out in there now. A sauna plus exercise all at the same time.

13) Herbs if you have Covid or Covid long haulers; contact me. I keep them stocked.

14) Have a bad back or neck issues that seem to be getting worse? Try to implement floor sleeping, in particular research Japanese floor sleeping. This is a process that takes time for your body to adjust to. I use a tatami mat and shikibuton together to simulate floor sleeping. Humanity has slept on much harder surfaces for eons, not cushy mattresses that cost thousands. Mattresses are relatively new and typically don’t provide the benefits of gravity onto the skeleton as your body sleeps. Floor sleeping is a time honored tradition because it works. To illustrate, Japan has roughly one third the population of the United States. They have around 600 chiropractors, the United States has 75,000 plus (numbers from 2019). I use Jlifeinternational.com’s shikibuton and tatami mat set along with the very important (and hardest to get used to) buckwheat hull pillow, which I recommend adding lavender to and dont give up on it until you have slept on it at least a week. The benefits are obvious and immediate; little to no pain in your body upon awakening, stiff neck vanishes, and you get little tiny adjustments in the vertebrae as you sleep, allowing gravity and the firmness of the ground to naturally align your spine. In addition even if I get less sleep and toss and turn on this I am much more fully rested on this set up than the same number of hours on a cushy mattress. The quality of sleep is unparalleled.

15) Biogenesis Healing Tools I can give many accolades to these simple glass devices infused with Genesis energy. I use them in sessions and they help turn things around! You can research at Biogenesis .

16) Flower, Gem and Cosmic Essences Literally I will have a separate page for this. You can start at Pegasus, all of their products are excellent and read the books by Gurudas (Gem Elixirs and Flower Essences and Vibrational Healing, as well as Starlight Elixirs by Smulkis & Rubenfeld.

17) Nattokinase for its ability to provide the ever important Vitamin K2. I use the supplement made in Japan called Orihiro Nattokinase made from real Natto, which has by the far the highest concentration of K2. Can obtain at japanesetaste.com. Great reading on the benefits of K2 can be found on the Weston Price website at https://www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/abcs-of-nutrition/on-the-trail-of-the-elusive-x-factor-a-sixty-two-year-old-mystery-finally-solved/#gsc.tab=0.

18) For internal consumption and to ward off sickness - Terramin Clay. Terramin has the unique capacity to bind to what the body recognizes as toxic. If you are getting sick, immediately drink 1 tsp (or more) in 6 ounces water. You will have to stir rapidly and the mixture looks like mud, so can put in milk or juice instead. This has been known to stop illness in its tracks! If you continue to feel bad, take same mixture again in another 4-6 hours.Terramin

19) For baths and general detox and for much better sleep - Sacred & Black Clay. From a naturally occurring smectite/rectorite clay from a singular deposit near the mystical region of Crater Lake, Oregon comes Sacred Clay. Due to its unique composition of clay minerals, Sacred Clay excels as a mineral nutrient source and as a potent detoxifier of chemicals, radiation, and heavy metals. This unusual clay is a natural product of hydrothermal alteration (the interaction of underground boiling lava and aquifer related steam and pressure) coupled with sulfur related weathering. Coupled with a small amount of Black Clay in baths this provides the unusual and unexpected quality of very good sleep, most likely due to its high bioavailability of magnesium! I use all 4 clays listed on here and Terramin daily, the baths 3-4 times a week.

20) This should be number 1 for all those who gets colds, flu, the Variants et: Terramin.
